What is the Skills Development Webinar Series?
The Skills Development Webinar Series provides park and recreation, conservation, and forest preserve district professionals with access to monthly professional development opportunities from the comfort of their home or office. By registering, you gain access to 11 webinars, one per month February thru December, that consist of nationally known speakers and leaders in the field of parks and recreation. Utilizing the Zoom platform, subscribers can participate in live webinars or on-demand recordings. Subscribers can login from one computer or facilitate agency participation across multiple devices. Space is limited, and participants must designate Wednesday (10:15 a.m. CST) or Thursday (12:00 p.m. CST) at the time of registration. Each webinar is 60 minutes in length and worth 0.1 CEUs for a series total of 1.1 CEUs. Team up with your colleagues and come join us for some high-quality and interactive learning!

The session will cover how to differentiate between stakeholder needs, highlighting the distinct approaches required for internal versus external groups. Additionally, participants will develop tailored communication strategies to foster trust and credibility across various audiences. The session will conclude with influence techniques focused on building productive relationships, effective collaboration, and setting shared expectations to drive meaningful outcomes.
