Membership in career-specific Special Interest Groups (Sections) that provides career-specific virtual and in-person networking opportunities with your peers. As well as access to our online communities and forums.
Membership Types
*IPRA memberships are valid for the calendar year in which they are purchased, expiring on December 31st of that year. For example, a membership purchased on June 1, 2024, will expire on December 31, 2024.*
All memberships purchased from Oct-Dec 31st 2024 will be active through 12/31/25*
Professional
- Illinois professionals in the field of parks, recreation or conservation within the Chicago Metro Counties of: Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake & Will. Members must join at the highest level of eligibility.
Professional Non-Metro
- Illinois professionals in the field of parks, recreation or conservation outside of the Chicago Metro Counties of: Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake & Will. Members must join at the highest level of eligibility.
Advocate
- Advocate membership is perfect for park & recreation professionals working outside of Illinois, a person representing an association or foundation related to the field, a part-time or retired professional, or those seeking employment in the field.
Student
- Complimentary student membership is offered to anyone currently a full time student in the park and recreation field. IPRA offers mentoring, scholarships, and professional development opportunities to pre-professionals. Members must join at the highest level of eligibility.
