Leslie Friedman believes that we have the unique ability to control what others think of us and how they treat us. She also believes that by understanding that ability, and being able to use it wisely, we can dramatically change our relationship with co-workers and employees while accelerating our career. She believes this because she's seen it proven true time and time again. A best-selling author, serial entrepreneur, image consultant, and former fashion designer, Friedman combines a unique mix of image control and personal branding techniques to improve communication and understanding between managers, employees, and superiors. Her work in both the private and public sectors allow her to offer personal development ideas that are relevant, practical, and actionable. Although presented in a fun and entertaining way, at the end of the day, Friedman's main goal is to empower you to take control of your personal brand and use it to enhance both your life and the lives of those around you.

In this interactive session, you will learn the art of the interview that will help you identify notably the candidate's skills, but also their ability and willingness to fit into your agency's culture. Marketing at its best isn't complicated. The creativity is often in the simplicity of the message and how it's communicated. There are things that you're already doing to help market your programs, but in this session, we'll talk about how you can capitalize on marketing your own programs by taking care of the things you can control (which turns out is a LOT). With the increasing number of options for potential participants to choose from, the more you communicate with them beyond handing out a flyer, the better off you are.

Got dozens or even hundreds of applications to sort through? Got hours, days, or even weeks to waste conducting interviews with them all? With limited time available, how can you ensure you're spending your time wisely while trying to fill all your seasonal staffing needs? Grab your shovel, dig a hole, and bury that woefully outdated, one-on-one interview process you've been using just because "that's the way you've always done it". This session shows you how to hire the best possible staff by eliminating all the nonsense of traditional interviews, streamlining your interview/hiring process into a group interview format and helping you get back the most valuable resource of all - your time! Participants will leave with all information and materials needed to immediately transform their interview process and create a group interview to suit their hiring needs.
