The Safety Committee Workshop, sponsored by IPRA's Administration & Finance Section, offers a full day of continuing education for professionals that work on their agency's Safety Committee. The day will consist of a keynote by Paul Timm, two breakout sessions, a Safety Professionals Panel, and a Safety Vendor Exhibit Hall. Attendees can pick and choose the safety topic that best fits their personal and professional development needs. Breakfast and lunch are included with registration. Doors open at 8:30am, the event will begin at 9am, so plan to arrive early to check in and have breakfast.

Who Should Attend: 
Park and recreation, conservation, and forest preserve district professionals that work on or oversee their agency's Safety Committee.

To Register: 
Login to your IPRA account, then select "Register Myself". If you are not an IPRA member, create an account as a Basic Contact, then register for the event. 

Fee:  $40.00 Member / $60.00 Non-Member
 
Cancellations:
 Refunds will be issued to requests received on or before December 1, less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after December 1, 2022.  

CEUs:  Event has been approved for 0.4 CEUs and will be awarded to those in attendance for at least 45 minutes each session. Continuing Education Units are for certifications such as CPRE, CPRP, and CTRS.

IDOL or Illinois OSHA is given wide discretion during an inspection of a public entity.  The entity should be well versed in what caused the inspection, how the inspection process is conducted, and the types of citations that may be issued.  More importantly, the employer should know the expectations of Illinois OSHA and how to keep our staff safe and avoid penalty.
