PNRM Section Meeting & Horticulture Education Day

PNRM Section Meeting & Horticulture Education Day
IPRA's Parks & Natural Resource Management (PNRM) Section consists of park district professionals that either specialize or work in and around parks and natural resources. This is a joint event with the Midwest Institute of Park Executives (MIPE), an affiliate of IPRA. The meeting will begin with reports from the IPRA Section Board and each committee Chair, and an IPRA liaison will be in attendance to provide updates to the membership about news and events happening within the association. The section meeting will be followed by the 4th Annual Horticulture Education Day. Janie Grillo (Horticulturist - Midwest Groundcovers), Dr. Doug Stotz (Researcher - Field Museum), and Corey Zak (Horticulturist - Palatine Park District) will be discussing the Monarch Butterfly and the importance of pollinators, the Illinois Monarch Program and how to increase Monarch populations, and engaging the public in purposeful gardening. If you are interested in joining the section or simply wish to attend for educational and networking purposes, you are encouraged to register. This event is for IPRA and MIPE members only, but guests interested in learning more are welcome to attend.
