Learning Lab: Over the Rainbow - Tools to be an LGBTQ+ Ally

Learning Lab: Over the Rainbow - Tools to be an LGBTQ+ Ally
Thirty-one (31) percent of Centennials and twenty (20) percent of Millennials are identifying as LGBTQ+, yet the unique "alphabet soup" of letters still continues to confuse many well-meaning experts and colleagues. In celebration of Pride Month, we're bringing you this practical and humorous program that will help define key terms, dig into policies and issues that affect the LGBTQ+ community, and share tools to build allies – and to be an ally for your colleagues and members of your community. Come listen to Darnell Adams, Associate Facilitator of the Equality Institute, as she engages the audience with openness and research-based learning methodology to help you become an authentic LGBTQ+ ally. This FREE event is generously sponsored by the Illinois Park & Recreation Foundation and offered in cooperation with the Illinois Association of Park Districts (IAPD) and the Illinois Afterschool Network (IAN).
