Learning Objectives: 1) Learn how connecting diverse and underserved communities with programming benefits the agency 2) Identify tips and tools used to draw volunteers to your organization 3) Acquire marketing strategies used to educate the public on the overall value of your organization.
Who Should Attend: Park and recreation, conservation, and forest preserve district professionals interested in learning more about methods to draw people into their organizations in the areas of marketing, programming, services, and volunteers.
To Register: Login to your IPRA account, select "Register Myself", then register for the event. If you do not have one, create an account (membership not required), then register for the event. Registration deadline is Tuesday, September 21, 2021.
How to Participate: The event will take place live via Zoom Webinar. It is not required to have an account, but the web browser client will download automatically when you start or join your first meeting from a computer. Attendees can also participate from a smart device using the Zoom app, or can use the call-in feature. Upon registering for the event with IPRA, participants will be emailed an invitation from Zoom with a unique join link. Live Transcriptions: Live transcriptions are available to participants for no additional charge.
CEUs: Event is approved for 0.1 CEUs and will only be awarded to those in live attendance for a minimum of 45 minutes (Continuing Education Units are for certifications such as CPRE, CPRP, CTRS).
