Learning Lab: Suicide Talk - A Conversation for Awareness

Learning Lab: Suicide Talk - A Conversation for Awareness
Let’s be honest, suicide can be a very scary and difficult topic for many people. However, an open and honest conversation about the issue helps remove the stigma and taboo. Led by Lori Hoffner of Supporting CommUnity, this session will help park and recreation, conservation, and forest preserve district professionals understand state and national suicide statistics and their impact on community awareness, identify warning signs and risk factors, define coping skills, and outline community resources. Come join your colleagues and learn 'help-seeking' behavior for people of every age in your community. This event is generously sponsored by PDRMA's Path program.
