FPC Section Learning Lab & Section Meeting Aug 2022

FPC Section Learning Lab & Section Meeting Aug 2022
The Forest Preserve and Conservation Section (FPC) develops continuing education and networking opportunities for forest preserve/conservation district professionals.  We will begin with a Section Meeting followed by a presentation of "Implementing a Regulated Deer Reduction Program with Conservation in Mind" with Eric Ness and Gabriel Powers.

Timeline:
2:00 - 2:30pm:  FPC Section Meeting
2:30 - 3:30pm:  Learning Lab

Learning Lab Description:  Deer populations can overrun district sites damaging the structure of the natural resource ecosystem. What management practice should be used to bring balance between the deer population and the ecosystem so the flora and fauna can thrive again? Attend this presentation as we discuss a couple proven methods used by some Forest Preserve and Conservation Districts either through a regulated internal hunting program or culling to help reduce the deer population.

To Register: Login to your IPRA account (See "Sign in" to the right or below), then scroll down to select "Register Myself".  If you are not an IPRA member, create an account (See create a new account under "Sign in", then register for the event).
