FPC Section Learning Lab & Section Meeting 12/2022
The Forest Preserve and Conservation Section (FPC) develops continuing education and networking opportunities for forest preserve/conservation district professionals.  We will begin with a Section Meeting followed by a presentation of "Harvesting Native Seed for Ecological Restoration" with Patrick Chess.

Timeline:
2:00 - 2:30pm:  FPC Section Meeting
2:30 - 3:30pm:  Learning Lab: Harvesting Native Seed for Ecological Restoration

Learning Lab Description:  An important tool for ecological restoration projects is the harvesting and use of native seed to create successful projects. This learning lab will review how to identify, harvest, store, and sow native seeds. In addition, we will have a brief virtual tour of the Forest Preserve District of Kane County’s seed storage and processing facility. 

To Register: Login to your IPRA account (See "Sign in" to the right or below), then scroll down to select "Register Myself".  If you are not an IPRA member, create an account (See create a new account under "Sign in", then register for the event). 

How to Participate:  This virtual discussion will be delivered via Zoom and links will be emailed December 7.  If you have not received your link by December 7 @ 3:00pm, please contact Kim Laper at [email protected].

Fee: $0.00 IPRA Member / Non-Member

CEUs: Event is approved for 0.1 CEUs and will only be awarded to members in live attendance for a minimum of 45 minutes (Continuing Education Units are for certifications such as CTRSCPRE and CPRP certification).
