Facility Management Workshop
This workshop is a training program unique to current and future facility managers. Whether you oversee a community center, fitness center, athletic center, rental center, or specialty center, this program is designed for you.  Attendees will receive quality presentations from experts that work at leading Illinois agencies and walk away with resources that will help them build their facility portfolio and enhance operational efficiencies.

To Register: 
Login to your IPRA account, then select "Register Myself". If you are not an IPRA member, create an account as a Basic Contact, then register for the event. After selecting your registration type and answering a few questions, refer to Program (below) to choose the morning breakout sessions that you wish to add to your itinerary. 

Fee: 
$25.00 IPRA Student Member / $50.00 IPRA Professional Member / $75.00 Non-Member

CEUs: 
Event approved for 0.3 CEUs, and tickets will be distributed electronically to attendees after the event (Continuing Education Units are for CPRE and CPRP certification). 

Cancellation Policy:  Requests for refunds must be received by August 4 in order to receive a refund less a 20% administrative fee.  No refunds will be granted for cancellations after this date.

Nobody is going to win awards for a good preventative maintenance program and the Marketing Department probably isn’t posting about this on social media but preventative maintenance can make or break your facility.  We will discuss routine custodial work to HVAC/mechanical systems to gym floors and everything in between.

Sound will provide an overview of the best practices in security and monitoring for your facilities.  This overview will show how to use leverage the latest technology using intrusion, access control, video, visitor management and your mobile devices to secure your facilities, employees and guests while still maintaining a welcoming environment. In this session, we will also touch upon next generation analytics to utilize technology to proactively alert you to potential threats or situations to proactively address rather than reacting post-incident.

This session will provide resources and tools to help the Facilities professional identify and respond to an event Crisis-level event.  This type of event can lead to a service or Facility being closed to the public/staff and involve extensive corrective action.  A Crisis level activity may also include injury to patrons and staff.  Mike will provide procedures and actions that will help reduce further loss or impact to property as well as the important steps that need to be taken after an event.  These will include property management, communications, insurance issues, loss of revenue concerns and corrective actions.

In this informative session, we will discuss a wide variety of current issues related to staff recruitment and retention, including trends in job advertising; rethinking the traditional job application; the road to $15/hour minimum wage; employee perks, privileges, and recognition programs;  and more! Participants will be challenged to create their own employment value proposition to be used as their unique competitive advantage going forward.
