The ELITE Young Professional Workshop Series
The ELITE Young Professional Workshop is a new virtual leadership program designed and delivered exclusively by Annie Frisoli, professor at Ohio University and founder of Creating Community, LLC. The program provides young professionals with an opportunity to examine communication strategies that make greater impacts in meetings, conversations, and presentations, as well as personal, professional, and aspirational values to assist them in developing themselves as authentic leaders. Two different series are available with only 16 spots for each. Come be a part of this unique opportunity to build an intimate network and have fun with Annie!

Who Should Attend: Young professionals and those newer to the industry of parks, recreation, and conservation should consider participating to strengthen their leadership competencies in communications, relationships, and branding, and build an intimate network with professionals of varying special interests.

To Register:
 Login to your IPRA account, select "Register Myself", then register for Series A or Series B. If you do not have one, create an account (membership not required), then register for the prep course. Registration deadline for Series A is Monday, January 25, and Series B is Monday, March 1.

Fee: $149 IPRA Member and $189 Non-Member

How to Participate: Classes will take place via Zoom. It is not required to have an account, but the web browser client will download automatically when you start or join your first Zoom meeting from a computer. Attendees can also participate from a smart device using the Zoom app, or can use the call-in feature. Virtual join links will be emailed to participants after the deadline and before the first class.

Cancellations: Refunds for each series will be issued to requests received on or before January 25 (Series A) or March 1 (Series B), less a 20% administrative fee. No refunds will be issued after the noted registration deadlines.

Transcription Services: Live transcriptions are available to participants via at no additional charge. Instructions will be provided to those indicating at registration they require the service to participate.

CEUs: Each series is approved for 0.6 CEUs (Continuing Education Units are for certifications such as CPRE, CPRP, CTRS).

Annie Frisoli, Founder & CEO of Creating Community, LLC  hosts training and speaking engagements on topics related to leadership, innovation, teamwork, and community in order to positively impact teams and communities.  Annie earned her bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation from The University of Toledo and her Master’s degree in Recreation Management from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Annie is also a Certified Festivals & Events Executive (CFEE), gaining her certification through the IFEA/NRPA Event Management School.  Annie is also certified in the Foundations of Design Thinking and enjoys discussing innovation strategies to develop inclusive cultures and communities.  Annie, a former university faculty member of 18 years, has also worked with numerous recreation and event teams in a variety of capacities including time spent with operations for the Volvo Car Open and the St. Louis Art Fair, she has acted as the non-profit development coordinator for the Alzheimer's Association, has developed numerous campus-wide events at a variety of universities, and also works as a public engagement ambassador for public parks and recreation agencies during design planning. Finally, as a current adjunct faculty member with Ohio University, she enjoys having an impact on future recreation and event professionals.
