Diversity Section Learning Lab & Meeting: February 2023
IPRA's Diversity (DIV) Section consists of park district professionals from all areas of leisure services that seek to learn more about diversity and its role in the workplace. The section meeting will begin with reports from the Section Board and each committee Chair, and an IPRA liaison will be in attendance to provide updates to the membership about news and events happening within the association. Following the meeting there will be a presentation on "Women in Leadership" by Jonelle Bailey and Oralethea Davenport. If you are interested in joining the section or simply wish to attend for networking and educational purposes, you are encouraged to register. This is a members-only event, but guests interested learning more about IPRA are welcome to attend.

3:00 pm – Presentation of Women in Leadership by Jonelle Bailey and Oralethea Davenport
Presentation Details:
Studies show that having women in leadership positions brings many benefits to an organization, including greater accountability and a culture of work-life balance. Learning how to foster and develop women as leaders not only benefits individual employees but can benefit your entire organization.
Learning Objectives:
1) Discuss some of the barriers women face. 2) Apply the principles of fostering women leaders. 3) Understand the benefits of developing women leaders
How to Participate:
Virtual discussions are delivered via Zoom. Virtual links will be emailed February 16.
