Communications & Marketing (C&M) Section Meeting & Education
IPRA's Communications & Marketing (C&M) Section consists of park district professionals that either specialize or work in and around marketing, communications, and sponsorships. The event will begin with the section meeting that will mainly consist of reports from the Section Board and each committee Chair, and an IPRA liaison will be in attendance to provide updates to the membership about news and events happening within the association. Following the meeting at 1:15 p.m. will be the presentation, "Elevate Your Communication". Jerry Evans of the Awards Company will talk about attitude, commitment, and training as the three real keys to sustained and long-term success as a communicator and presenter. If you are interested in joining the section or simply wish to attend for educational and networking purposes, you are encouraged to register. This is a members-only event, but guests interested learning more about IPRA are welcome to attend.

When we think about how to become a better communicator, we often think about the tools we use; our data, Power Point slide deck, posture, and poise. These are crucial elements, but the real keys to sustained and long-term success as a communicator and presenter might surprise you because, in fact, they are simple, easy to use, and available to everyone: Attitude, Commitment, and Training.
