A&F Section Learning Lab & Meeting: December 2022

A&F Section Learning Lab & Meeting: December 2022
IPRA's Administration & Finance (A&F) Section consists of park district professionals that either specialize or work in and around administration, finance, human resources, information technology, registration services, and/or risk management.  This is a members event, but guests interested in learning more about IPRA or the committee are encouraged to attend.

Timeline:
10:00 am – A&F Section Board Meeting
11:00 am – Recruiting Basics to Attract Talent by Kathryn Murphy with Reverb
12:00 pm – Holiday Luncheon (Complimentary lunch will be provided)

Presentation Details:  Usually, an employment prospect's first exposure to your organization is the job description. What key elements must a job posting include to attract the right talent? Is your job posting drawing your prospect in or not catching their attention? Unlike many for-profit organizations, park districts may not have the resources to have a staff recruiter who specializes in finding the perfect candidate. In this session, you will hear from a professional recruiter who will provide tips and tricks to improve your job postings and information about where you can look for prospects outside the traditional channels park districts might use.

To Register: Login to your IPRA account (see "Sign In" to the right or below), then scroll down to select "Register Myself". If you are not an IPRA member, create an account (see create a new account under "Sign In"), then register for the event.

Virtual Attendance Option:  The A&F Section Board Meeting and the presentation of "Recruiting Basics to Attract Talent" will also be shared on Zoom.  Links will be sent to all registrants November 30.  There will be no recording available after the event.

Lunch:  Please designate upon registration if you will be staying for the Holiday Luncheon and partaking in the complimentary lunch.  The buffet will include:  Italian Beef, Chicken parmesan , Roasted garlic potatoes, Broccoli & artichoke bowtie pasta, Grilled veggies, Tossed salad, French bread, Sweet & hot peppers, Dessert, Soft Drinks.  All those wanting to participate in the complimentary buffet must be registered by November 24.

CEUs:  Event is approved for 0.1 CEUs and will only be awarded to members in live attendance for a minimum of 45 minutes (Continuing Education Units are for certifications such as CTRSCPRE and CPRP certification).
