Through IPRA's section groups specific education and workshops are offered throughout the year.  Listed below are our current scheduled programs:

Supervisor Symposium provides students and professionals in the recreation field a curriculum that builds a strong foundation of fundamental skills needed to obtain and succeed at a supervisory position.  Sessions create opportunities to increase knowledge, which can be implemented immediately and expose participants to emerging trends, which can help advance their career in the recreation field.

The Facility Management Workshop is an exciting program for IPRA members coming up on October 11, 2019.  It is a learning experience unique to new and seasoned facility managers of diverse background such as community centers, fitness centers, athletic centers, rental centers, and specialty centers (like golf, ice and preschools).  Attendees will receive quality presentations from experts that work at leading Illinois agencies, learn how to create a facility portfolio, and walk away with resources that will help them enhance operational efficiencies.

TR Leadership Summit

The Therapeutic Recreation Leadership Summit is a one day offering in the fall that focuses on continue education for the TR field of parks and recreation. Topics such as ADA compliance, sensory rooms, community integration, programming trends and communication skill building are what make this event unique to the education roster and beneficial to all that attend.
