Sports Park Field Supervisor |

Qualifications:
|
•High school diploma or GED required; college or continuing education, preferred. •Minimum 1 year of responsible management or supervisory experience in sports or recreation or related field. • CPR/First Aid/ AED Certified •Ability to lift 50 LBS frequently. Sport Park Supervisor is responsible for the assessing general field conditions and approval for play. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, lining and dragging ball diamonds, field preparation after rain to make ready for play, hand rake water spots on infield between play, enforcing field schedules and usage, set up, tear down, organization and supervision of the facility and related programs, as well as general custodial duties. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of recreation, sports and/or facility management. They must have strong problem solving skills and experience with conflict management. They will also possess leadership skills, initiative, persistence, creativity, and the ability to inspire the best in others; interest in creating program and facility offerings to meet the diverse needs of the community. Enthusiastic and pleasant personality necessary.
Candidates must be able to work well with staff, work weekends and evenings, and be able to work in a fast paced environment. Hours of work will vary based on season and need. The position is a seasonal position

Duties:

•Responsible for, set up and/ or implementing, day to day activity schedule. •Secure all recreation equipment and supplies necessary for activities. •Oversee facility use requests. • Monitor the condition of the facility continually. •Assist in interpreting customer needs and delivering programs and services to meet those needs. Periodically review and evaluate facility, programs and services to determine if needs are being met. • Promote a broad spectrum of diverse activities and services for all segments, groups, ages and interest levels of the public. •Evaluate staffing needs within the department to insure programs operate efficiently and create an environment for success. •Ensure and promote customer service as highest priority with facility staff. • Make recommendations for minor and major upkeep, repairs, renovations, and improvements. •Oversee the program evaluation process and recommend modifications of existing programs and services or the introduction of new programs and services. •Promote, organize and stimulate good relationships with community and other interest groups and with other agencies serving the area
