Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have 10 years plus experience in overseeing the maintenance operations of multiple facilities with at least three years of management and supervisory experience. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification in HVAC and Aquatic Facility Operations or ability to obtain within one (1) year of the date of hiring is desired. Prior construction management experience is desirable. Must have valid Illinois Drivers License. |

Duties:

Under the direction of the Director of Parks, Recreation, and Communications, the Superintendent of Facilities is responsible for the overall planning, capital improvements, and quality maintenance and repair of all indoor and outdoor district facilities including playgrounds, shelters, aquatic centers, community centers, athletic courts, structures, etc. This includes all physical elements and systems in buildings and park facilities such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC and aquatic systems, roofs, building interiors and exteriors, potential construction and repair projects. The Superintendent of facilities serves as a member of the district management team and collaborates closely with parks and recreation personnel. This is an at-will position. |
