The Bolingbrook Park District is offering three internships to motivated individuals who are looking for a comprehensive internship experience in Therapeutic Recreation, Recreation or Aquatics.
Each applicant must be a current student of an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Recreation or related field. All the necessary requirements must be met with respective college or university to be eligible. Applicant must demonstrate an interest and enthusiasm in pursuing a full-time career in the field of Recreation.
Internship hours vary and include working weekend and evening hours as needed. Applicant must possess a valid drivers license and provide own transportation.
All candidates must be a highly visible, motivated, goal oriented and organized. Intern will perform jobs safely and in compliance with Park District policies, procedures, work and safety rules and comply with all Park District/JBSRA policies and procedures. All interns are required to participate in required training and safety programs as established and recognized by the Bolingbrook Park District.
Under the direction and training of the Therapeutic Recreation Supervisor, Recreation Supervisor or Aquatic Manager, the intern will assist each supervisor/manager in a variety of daily activities.
