The first-ever March mailing of this month in...Parks & Recreation was a complete success! Over 70% of you wanted to learn more about the newsletters' offerings and continued to click on various links. Each month we will bring you interesting news, educational seminars and exciting events that you and your agency can get involved with. IPRA has so much to offer and unfortunately not everything can be put into this e-Newsletter. So please visit our website for the most current information and news. Please continue to complete the online request form to have your IPRA section's news posted to the monthly newsletter. Remember, submit your requests early because space is limited and it's always best to promote your meeting, event or seminar at least a month in advance. We are excited about the future of IPRA and this month in...Parks & Recreation! 2005 Athletic Gear & Apparel Philanthropy The IPRA Athletic Committee is getting ready for the 2005 Athletic Gear & Apparel campaign and will once again need your help to make this successful. We started this effort and partnership with the United Way in 2003 in order to provide agencies with gently used equipment and apparel. With access to over 2,000 professionals that work at every type of sport, recreation and conservation facility, we have items that are safe and in good working order! Click here to get your community involved. Got a Question? Need an Answer? One of the benefits of being a member of IPRA is the incredible access to a number of educated and talented park and recreation professionals. If you have a question, big or small, someone in the IPRA network must have an answer. Discussion boards, like IPRA's Member Forum and newly created Tech KnowHow, are a widely known but under used method for online collaborative learning. The Member Forum and Tech KnowHow can provide its members with an environment for people to communicate, share ideas and strategies about future initiatives and growth of the park and recreation field. We challenge you to utilize the Member Forum and Tech KnowHow this April. Post questions you may have and respond to questions you may have an answer to. Get the most out of your IPRA membership this month. Click here for the Member Forum...discussion with meaning. 2005 Western Open - Volunteer Today! The tradition...the legacy...the Western Open. Isn't is time you volunteered at the tournament? IPRA volunteers have consistently found their experiences with the general public and guests of corporate sponsors very rewarding...so much so that they donate their time year after year. We hope you will join us in another successful golf tournament! Register online by May 30 by clicking here. Be a Mentor
The IPRA Mentoring Committee is looking for individuals to volunteer to serve as a mentor. The committee was created to help IPRA members and was meant to compliment the career/professional counseling relationship an employee may have with their supervisor.
